Lynwood Day Nursery was the first private day nursery established in the Furness and South Cumbria area in 1989. We have offered the highest standard of care for over 18 years in the Barrow area. We want all our children to feel at home so we have sought to avoid the 'classroom' environment so often associated with nursery care .We believe that we can achieve the education and development of children in the situation to which the child can easily relate.. We have provided childcare for hundreds and hundreds of children whose parents have recognised that we have a 'difference' -a loving, caring environment for their child provided by highly qualified and dedicated staff.


	Lynwood Day Nursery is based in a converted farmhouse, which was built in 1764. In 2003 it was transformed into a nursery with the downstairs dedicated to our toddlers and pre school children. Our baby unit is upstairs so our babies are always away from the bustle of older children. The nursery has two gardens so we can provide separate playing areas for our different age groups. It also has off road parking, so the children do not have to go near the road



	We know that you want the best for your child but how do you make this most important decision? You will have some specific ideas but we recognise that you will have to find a place that 'feels right' We encourage you to come and look around our nursery and to closely inspect our facilities. You will find a well equipped, homely nursery as you would expect. But look at the children in our care and make up your mind. Our long years of experience are reflected in the way our children react – they are happy and confident in their environment.
