Lynwood Day Nursery

Although we have been providing high quality childcare for over a decade it is only recently that we have provided care for babies. We recognised that this most special group of children need a very special environment and until we could provide the best possible we didn’t offer care to babies. Now, we do have a Baby Unit at Lynwood Ashtree. Here we can provide a quiet, stimulating and supportive environment in which your child can develop. The baby unit is separate from our main nursery and is an oasis of calm in our busy nursery setting. The babies enjoy a caring and relaxed atmosphere with our dedicated staff – even down to the soothing music.


	We appreciate you will want to have the closest contact with the member of staff who looks after your baby and we have established a home/nursery communication system which our mother’s truly appreciate. We will follow your request with regard to sleep times/meals and general routine and you can phone the nursery nurse at any time to check on your baby’s day. We can provide special meals but find that most of our mothers bring their own food so they have control over their baby’s diet. If you have provided the meals you can check at the end of the day what food your child has eaten. When you decide your child is ready we can work with you to develop your baby’s diet. Our nursery nurses are the best resource we have to help your baby to learn how to communicate and their training and instincts are to respond in the most supportive way to your baby. Activities for babies are planned to meet the requirements of Birth To Three Matters.
